On May 15, 2023, the USDA Export Sales Reporting and Maintenance System 2.1 (ESRMS 2.1) Federal Register Notice (FRN) to the Paperwork Reduction Act was published and can be found at this link.

USDA looks forward to receiving public comments from exporters on the proposed changes to Export Sales Reporting information collection.

The deadline for public comments to the ESRMS 2.1 FRN is July 14, 2023. 

As a reminder, ESRMS 2.1 is available for user acceptance testing at this link.

USDA-FAS asks all users to take advantage of the user acceptance testing opportunity and to submit public comments regarding the collection of the proposed contract-based information.  Specifically, USDA-FAS is interested in public comment on:

1. whether collection of contract-based information will help improve the timeliness and reliability of the data in USDA's Export Sales Reports;
2. the accuracy of the agency's estimate of the burden of the collection of information including validity of the methodology and assumption used;
3. ways to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information collected; and
4. ways to minimize the burden of the collection of information on those who are required to report, including through the use of automated, electronic, mechanical, or other technological collection techniques or other forms of information technology.
